My Life as a Baby - First Year Calendar

Life as a Baby is a great first year calendar. It has journaling prompts at every month and even starts off the calendar with a page all about when your baby was born. The journaling prompts are the same through every month. While they could be different, they are generic enough to be fine for a newborn and a one year old.

Each month is empty so that you can fill in the days of the month and the month itself. There is also an area for a 4 X 6 photo every month and one for a newborn photo. This allows you to see how much baby has grown month to month and from birth to the first birthday.

The 36 stickers that are included can be used or not. I have chosen to use some of them and ignore the ones that don't apply. Typical stickers are baby's firsts like walking, talking and eating. There are also stickers of appointments with the pediatrician, etc. The extra stickers can be used for keeping siblings busy.

The biggest benefit for me is that it is easy to sit down and jot down a couple of memories each day or week. I can make sure that I get the big things on the calendar to share with my baby as she gets older. This is the perfect size for the busy mom of many or busy mom of one. This would make a great baby shower present or newborn gift.

This calendar is a fantastic way to remember and organise one of the most demanding and potentially chaotic years for any family. • Perennial calendar which can be started any month of the year.
  • There's space for photos and to record baby's milestones and special events.
  • Stickers to chart the most important events of the year.
  • Pocket at the back to store important paperwork, photos and other mementos close to hand.
  • Space to record memories of the year including the price of every day items and the newsworthy stories of the year.

Calendar of Student Issues

The following is a calendar of issues students may experience during each respective month of the school year.  It is important to note that these emotions and reactions to the college experience are common and normal. If your student is not experiencing any of those listed, they are most likely still following the normal progression of emotions experienced by college students.

If you or your student have any concerns please feel free to contact an advisor in the First Year Intiative office.

First-Year Colloquia courese

First-year colloquia are one-unit courses that allow students to explore areas of academic interest in a small-group setting, working directly with a faculty member. These courses were designed in an effort to address the problem of student alienation on this large campus by bringing first year students into small-group contact with members of the professoriate. Currently offered colloquia can be found in the
