IQ Speed reading tends to be a useful technique for light material such as easy-reading novels or magazine columns. The best method is to speed read slowly. That is, use a proper reading technique, but do it at a rate appropriate for the appreciation of what you are reading. Using a bad technique does not increase the appreciation of poetry, or the understanding of mathematical formulae. You cannot make fast reading if you don't have alacrity and concentrated mind because it needs more concentration and enthusiasm. Speed-reading is not a physical feat.
