Thank God - Ekta Kapoor escapes unhurt in car accident

Muzaffarnagar, Apr 17 (PTI) Film producer Ekta Kapoor had a narrow escape when her car fell into a ditch after hitting a tree on Delhi-Hardwar national highway here.

The 34-year-old producer was on her way to Hardwar when the incident occurred last evening, police said.

The driver of her car, Radha Charan was injured in the accident. However, Kapoor continued her journey to Hardwar in another car.

Kapoor, the daughter of veteran actors Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor, is known for producing numerous soap operas and movies.

Her most famous television ventures are 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii' and 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay'. She recently produced Dibakar Banerjee's 'Love, Sex Aur Dhokha'.

In the press conference, Balaji Telefilms and Sony Entertainment Ekta Kapoor announced its two prime time shows,  and Pyaar Ka Bandhan which is soon to air on the channel in the Prime Time.

“Bayttaab is a story which deals with relationship basically it’s at the time when your own rapport is at the question. It is when your life is stuck between the survival and the reality,” said Ekta Kapoor, Creative Head, Balaji Telefilms.

She also addressed this show as a modern day Deewar. “It can be termed as the story of three sisters who will struggle to achieve their goals but in their own way. This is what will differentiate them from each other,” she adds further.

“One believes that there is not shortcut to success while another believes that there is only short cut. The story also shows the ambitions of these three sisters and their journey for the same,” she quips.

While for Pyaar Ka Bandhan, Ms Kapoor has the mix of emotions and drama together in the show. “It’s the story of a ill mother and their four kids which gets adopted by different families. This show can be termed as a retro type for Balaji which is a mixture of the films Waqt and Yaadon Ki Baarat,” she concludes.
