Satya Paul bridal lehnga-saree collection - two complaintsSatya Paul bridal lehnga-saree collection - two complaints
A bit disappointed in the Satya Paul's bridal collection. The main complaint I have is that the bridal collection has all lehngas; many of them are the lehnga-sarees (lehngas that made to look like a saree) like the above, but I do resent that there are no sarees there. Currently, as a bridal wear for a contemporary woman, the lehngas and sarees are potential. equally acceptable choices. I do no want the house of Satya Paul to imply in a subtle way that saree is no longer an acceptable bridal wear. The wedding saree is special and lets keep it that way! Second, equally strong complaint I have is that the colors are not distinctive and the pallet he has chosen is not broad or vivid enough. If I hadn't told you that this was a Satya Paul lehnga, could you tell it's origin? I don't think so. May be for bridal, he wants more understated look. But if a woman wanted an understated look, the house of Satya Paul is not the place to go. The above piece is called Trans, Blue velvet peacock embroidered lehenga with georgette dupatta.
