Manish Malhotra had also designed the look for Sakshi Tanwar, the main protagonist of Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii and now he will be designing for Ram Kapoor for the serial "Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi".
Sakshi Talwar (Parvati) gets a chic new look by Bollywood’s favourite designer Manish Malhotra.
At the function held to introduce the six new talents and Sakshi’s new look, Ektaa was present with her parents, Jeetendra and Shobhaa Kapoor, designer Manish Malhotra and senior creative director of Star, Shailja Kejriwal.
Speaking at the occasion, Manish said “I am doing it only because it is Ektaa’s show and she is a dear friend. When I was briefed about the new look, I wanted to give Sakshi a modern look. But Ektaa and Shobha aunty were clear that they wanted Sakshi in a sari. So, I have given Sakshi beautiful sarees which will complement her modern look.”
Looking radiant in a yellow ‘n’ orange creation with a new hair-style, Sakshi exuded sheer excitement as she quipped, “the idea of this new look is to create a beautiful look keeping the older age-factor in mind”.
It seems Manish Malhotra don,t want to miss a chance wether it is big cinema, Fashion show or small screen. I think, everyone must be knowing that Manish Malhotra had also designed the look for Sakshi Tanwar.
Ekta Kapoor due to close friendship so, not too many characters of small screen will be seen in his designs but few of them.
Parvati bhabi's makeover will be done by Manish Malhotra, who also worked in Balaji's Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai.
"They are the best production house in the Indian television industry. So when Ekta called me, I couldn't say no for a makeover for Parvati," Malhotra says.
Ekta and Shobha Kapoor briefed Malhotra on Parvati's makeover. "I wanted to give her a western look," he adds. "But they wanted an Indian look. So we designed the perfect combination between Western and Indian. Let me clarify that the new look will not make Parvati sexy, but it will suit the new role."
Malhotra first worked on Parvati's hair and opted for straight hair. "For the saris, I thought of soft, pastel shades which would suit Sakshi. And despite the fact that Parvati will look very different from the way she has been shown in the last six years, the audience will love it," he says.
Meanwhile, Sakshi is very excited and nervous about the makeover. "Earlier, it would take 45 minutes for my makeup. Now, it's double the time!" Sakshi exclaims. "I am as excited and nervous as I was on the first day of shooting for Kahaani It is a big risk too, as Parvati has become iconic. The badi bahu of the Agarwal family can never do wrong. I hope she is proved right this time as well!" Manish Malhotra His designer sarees
